BHOPAL: Despite the torrential rain, children ventured out for Rahgiri Day. However, this Rahgiri Day lacked usual charm as there was thin presence due to rain and there was no music and dance like Jumba but children left no stone unturned in adding “natural charm” to Rahgiri Day. They visited Boat Club and enjoyed cycling in rain. They splashed the rainy water which was gushing on roads. Similarly, people visited Shahpura Lake to attend Rahgiri Day. However, they had to wade through heavily waterlogged road at RCVP Noronha Academy of Administration. But people enjoyed the rain with Shahpura Lake’s rising water waves. They also played football and volleyball in rain. Manoj Singh, who visited Shahpura Lake with family members, said, “We enjoyed volleyball with family members with our pet. Road is waterlogged but we enjoyed volleyball on road. It has now become a habit to venture out on Sunday morning. It makes no difference whether it rains or not. We always come here to join Rahgiri Day.”
Rakesh, who had gone to Boat Club with friends, said, “It is a very nice morning and we enjoyed the Rainy day. I have come here with a bunch of friends. Our group of friends is enjoying the rainy Rahigiri Day. It is a different kind of Rahigiri Day. There is no music and no rush of public. Roads are clear and it is raining all around. We are enjoying cycling.”
