BHOPAL:  The Chola Mandir police, on Tuesday, claimed to have solved the case of loot of a bike from a medical student and extortion of money from a truck driver with the arrest of three accused and their teenaged accomplice from near Nagar Nigam Colony late on Monday night.

Besides their arrest, the police have also recovered the looted 200 cc Pulsar bike worth Rs 95,000, registration documents of the bike and three knives from their possession. TI, Chola Mandir Mohan Sarwan said the arrested accused were identified as Tinku alias Shyam Namdev (27), Raja alias Dharmendra Parihar (22) and Radhe alias Radheshyam (20) who allegedly snatched the Pulsar bike from victim MBBS student Parth Khitiz Sharma on the pretext of taking lift at Maholi Puliya on April 26.

Meanwhile another 19-year-old arrested accused namely Sanna alias Shaitan Singh, along with Tinku and Radhe, allegedly beat up a truck driver named Ramesh Barwade near Bhanpur Rotary Pulia on March 31 as he refused to give them Rs 1,000 for liquor.

Sarwan said that all the four accused were arrested from near Nagar Nigam Colony during checking drive of police against people consuming liquor at public places. All the arrested accused, who have past criminal  records, have confessed to having committed the crime, after which three of them were booked under sections 394 of the IPC while the teenaged boy was booked under sections 327, 324, 323, 506 and 34 of the IPC. THEY were later produced in the court to seek their police remand.
