Football tourney begins at NTPC Korba

BHOPAL: In a thrilling inaugural match between Koria and Rajnandgaon played here on Tuesday at Netaji Subhash Football Ground at NTPC Township at Jamnipali, Koria won the match by 5-0. The week-long tournament is being held under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of the station in which ten Under-19 district teams are participating.  It is to be noted here that NTPC has been organising football tournaments and is also imparting necessary training to the selected players. Prakash Tiwari, group general manager, NTPC Korba was chief guest of the function. Among others, Dipankar Bose, GM (O&M), C Dakshinamurthy, GM (technical services), Basuraj Goswami, GM (fuel management) and Dr Sudeep Chaturvedi GM (medical) were present.
