All the trainee police of MP Police Academy, who had developed food poisoning, are still under observation in Chirayu Medical College and Hospital, on Friday. According to Hospital sources, five police officials are still in Intensive care unit (ICU). Hospital has made separate ward for police officials. Their blood samples have also been collected for Zika Virus and Dengue testing.
Fifty –five police officers (trainee DSPs and Sub-Inspectors) fell ill after consuming food and complained vomiting and diarrhea. CMHO Dr Salim said, “Police officials of MP Police Academy were hospitalised after they developed vomiting and diarrhea are out of dangers. But they have been put under observations on Friday.
I have examined their health and they are all are now ok. But it may relapse so they have been put under observations. Exact cause of problems will be known after the test report of Food and Drug team.” FDA team is tightening the noose of canteen management. However, FDA team found kitchen neat and clean. Prima facie, the teams suspect contamination of water responsible for the fiasco in police academy. The real cause behind the issue is yet to be ascertained.
