Food poisoning hits MP Police Academy: 55 trainees fall ill

Bhopal: Fifty -five police officials- DSPs, and Police Sub-Inspectors-fell sick after they developed food poisoning in MP Police Academy in Bhauri on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday.  They have been admitted in Chirayu Medical College & Hospital Bhopal after they complained of vomiting and diarrhea.  IG Bhopal Jaideep Prasad said, “Trainee police officials have been admitted in Chirayu Medical College & Hospital Bhopal. They had developed food poisoning. Condition of all the trainees is stable now.”

Hospital CMHO Dr Salim said, “Fifty-five police officials have been admitted in our hospital on intermitted night of Wednesday-Thursday. All are showing signs of improvement. It is duty of administration to ensure proper lab testing. We have shifted the police officials in one ward.”  SP (North) Hemant Chauhan said, “I had gone there to take the stock of police officials. All are ok now.”  On June,10 2013 the MP Police Academy (MPPA) Bhopal came into existence. The Academy provides basic training to trainee police officers of the rank of dy.s.ps and police sub-inspectors in a state of the art training environment.
