Follow teachings of Gita in life: Shukla

BHOPAL : Energy and Public Relations Minister Rajendra Shukla has stressed the need to practice teachings of Gita in life for building an ideal society. He urged youths to keep reciting Gita to maintain India’s identity as world spiritual power. Shukla was addressing Gitafest-2015 at Lal Parade Ground here on Sunday. Keynote address on “Shrimad Bhagwat Gita and Students” was given by Pujya Maha Mandleshwar Harihar Nand Ji. Shukla said that heart, mind and soul are satiated through knowledge of Gita. He said that propounder of Ekatma Manav-wad Pt Deendayal Upadhyay had also drawn inspiration from Gita. “Gita Rahasya” authored by Bal Gangadhar Tilak had become a Mantra for revolutionaries during freedom movement. In retaliation, the British rulers had banned the book. Shukla said that there is no religious scripture in the world, which is not inspired by Gita. The first call to awaken human society and inspire it for Karma was made by Gita. He also laid emphasis on wide publicity of philosophy of Gita. Pujya Maha Mandleshwar Harihar Nand Ji said that teachings of Gita should be regularly taught to students. He said that Gita was a source of inspiration during India’s freedom movement.
