BHOPAL : The Habibganj police on Thursday registered a case of abetment to suicide against all the five people including a woman whose names have been mentioned in a suicide note left by builder Rishabh Dev Tripathi who had committed suicide on Wednesday blaming the five accused of pressurising him to repay money more than he owed even after he had returned all the loan with interest.
As per police sources, the suicide note, handed over by the deceased builder’s wife Monika to police after his body was found hanging in the bathroom, had mentioned snames of Yasir Khan, Mohammed Farid, PC Singh, Nita Sharma and Manjit Gandhi.
Earlier also Tripathi had tried to commit suicide by consuming a large number of sleeping pills with rodenticide chemical after which he was admitted to a hospital where the doctors saved his life. However, the moneylenders kept on mounting pressure on him for repayment of more money.
Earlier, Tripathi had gone to lodge an FIR against these people at Habibganj Police station but as he did not have enough evidence and
other legal documents, police didn’t lodge any complaint and later the cops resolved the matter by calling both the parties at police station where they resolved the issue by submitting an affidavit.
SHO, Habibganj police station, Sudhir Arjariya said Tripathi had taken a loan of Rs 50 lakh from moneylenders and he had returned the borrowed amount along with interest, but these people were mounting pressure on him to repay more money.
The wife of the deceased told police that Rishabh was under immense depression due to the continuous harassment meted out to him by the moneylenders leading to his suicide.”
