Bhopal: Kotwali police has sent the two accused of opening fire at jewelry shop employee to jail. The accused were arrested from Bihar on April 6, after their police remand ended on Friday. In the PR they revealed the whereabouts of two automatic pistols, 20 bullets, 3 magazines loaded with 4 bullets in each one and Rs 57thousand in cash, which were later recovered by the cops.
The accused Dhirendra Choubey aka Thanthan and Maniranjan Choubey were arrested from Bihar while three of the accused were arrested earlier from Ujjain. Before sending them to jail they were quizzed regarding their involvement in other crimes. City superintendent of police (CSP) Kotwali Bittu Sharma says that the three accused were arrested on March 6 from Ujjain while the two had fled to Bihar after they reaised they will be nabbed.
She said that the duo had opened fire on the employee Abdul Rehman who was walking ahead of his employer Agrawal jewellers, on March 30. She said Krityanand Tiwari, Manish Tiwari and Abhay Tiwari were arrested from Ujjain. Krityanand was the mastermind of the firing as he wanted to rob the jelweller of his valuables as he had seen him putting some ornaments in a tiffin box.
