Jabalpur : The district administration after assessing the situation of the parents stalled the hike in fee structure by private institutions for the current session. Collector SN Rupla gave the orders after going through the orders of Gwalior Collector and through various cases of the Supreme Court. In the orders Rupla has clarified that in case any institution thinks that fee hike is necessary, and then the private schools should forma a parent teacher association and should take a joint decision in front of the District Education Officer.
Warned of criminal action
Collector SN Rupla has warned the private institutions, that in case the orders are not complied with, then action would be taken against the private school managers under section 188. The Collector said that he would not allow educational institutes become a hub of business activities.
What about parents who have paid already?
The parents who had paid the raised fee for their wards are however confused and want to know if they would be returned the excess fee they have paid for their wards. But majority of parents has had a sigh of relief because of the order as they would not be pushed by the schools to pay raised fee for the session.
