BHOPAL : Peasant leader Shiv Kumar Sharma alias Kakkaji, while interacting with media on Wednesday, said that 10,000 farmers will protest PM Crop Insurance Scheme at Sherpura, Sehore district. He alleged that PM Crops Insurance Scheme would benefit to insurance companies rather than to farmers.
Sharma said, “It is cheating with the farmers as at present, only draft of the crops insurance scheme has been prepared and name of four years old crops insurance scheme has been changed. Premium has been reduced by one per cent and even compensation has been reduced by 10 per cent and it will incur loss of nine per cent to farmers. The draft which has been prepared, state governments have been told for suggestion but Kisan Sangh has not been invited for it.
