Farmer commits suicide in Vidisha dist

BHOPAL: A 33-year-old farmer committed suicide at Anuppuar village under Mugal Sarai police station area in Vidisha district on Saturday. The deceased, identified as Kalektar Singh Dangi owned four bigha land. He sowed soyabean in his field but the crop ruined because of adverse weather. He could manage to take a yield of only 25 kilogram of soyabean. Devastated by the crop loss, Dangi committed suicide by hanging himself.

Collector MB Ojha, while talking to Free Press, said, “We have completed the crop loss survey and farmers will be compensated properly. As far as suicide of the farmer in Anuppur village is concerned, I will look into matter.”
