BHOPAL : It was just the same like previous day on Sunday when people could get relief from scorching heat that prevailed throughout the day as clouds hovering in the sky poured down and gusty winds blew across the city in the evening. The weather turned pleasant in the evening and light showers with heavy dusty winds were witnessed in many parts of the city.
According to the weather department the clouds formed due to the moisture coming from Arabian Sea, a turf line passing through Uttar Pradesh and an active system over at Rajasthan.
The first week of May remained cooler this year as compared to the last three years. The pleasant weather forced a large number of people to reach various picnic spots and enjoy the weather.
Spots like VIP Road, Sair Sapata, Lake View and many others were thronged by crowds coming from all across the city. The BJP party-men who had come to the city from various parts of the state too enjoyed the weather and flocked at spots like VIP Road and Lake View. It was a majestic experience to watch the cool breeze creating tides in the Upper Lake.
The maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 40.4°C which was around 1.5°C less than that of Saturday. The way the temperature is increasing in the state, it seems that within a week, heat wave will start. Weather experts say that early heat wave is good for monsoon. The Bhopal division has yet not been affected by heat wave but the scorching heat is enough to make one sick.
