Bagh : The traffic problems in the region seem to be unending. The increasing traffic problems and congestion has led to encroachment all over the town. As per the prevailing conditions, one cannot even think of taking an ailing person to the hospital on time.
None of the authorities are ready to take responsibility of the present conditions of the town. The shops all over the town have blocked the roads by either using half of the road as their parking area or by expanding their shops up to the roads. None of the officers or the municipality is bothered to keep a check on such issues. It may be noted that the encroachment removal drive which was implemented few months back, was being run with such stern attitude that everybody assumed that the town will now be free of encroachment and the traffic facilities will be enhanced soon. The propaganda that was produced by the administration to evict the encroachment soon disappeared. The increasing population and traffic problems are deteriorating the other facilities of the town.
It is being said that the encroachment is the gift of the Panchayat elections. The encroachment removal had been delayed in the name of Panchayat elections. However, on being asked, the Sarpanch replied that he has no idea of the process and probably the SDM could answer the questions.
On the contrary, SDM said that he does not have any issue in the removal of the encroachment. He will act instantly on the call of the Sarpanch. It is very clear that even the officers want a clean chit in the whole issue.
