BHOPAL: A middle-aged man was found murdered within the limits of Gautam Nagar police station on Monday morning. In the aftermath of incident, locals informed the police after which police personnel reached the spot.
SP North Arvind Saxena said the deceased has been identified as Anil alias Devendra, 40, son of Sitaram Panthi, resident of JP Nagar area and was an electrician. SP Saxena further said that on Monday morning he was found murdered at Risaldar Colony with grievous wounds in his abdomen. In the preliminary investigation, it came to the fore that late night he had consumed liquor with one of his friend after which they had a brawl.
It was surmised that following the dispute, his friend stabbed Anil with broken empty bottle of liquor. Subsequently, police have detained a suspected man and he was being quizzed at length. According to information, the deceased had not gone to his house for past few days and his wife was living at her parent’s house in Gwalior for the past two months.
