BHOPAL: The office of the Chief Electoral Officer has clarified that it had not given any sort of clean chit to chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan in the complaint regarding his telephonic conversation with BJP leader Rajesh Chaudhary. “District returning officer directly submitted his report to the election commission and copy of which was submitted to the Chief Electoral Office that did not take decision on it. Decision regarding the report and complaint of Congress candidate and leaders like Digvijay Singh will be decided by the commission,” said joint CEO SS Bansal.Returning officer of Mandsaur had found no fact in the complaint and had given clean chit to chief minister Chauhan quoting that his conversation does not violate the model code of conduct. The Congress approached chief election commissioner seeking immediate action besides filing a police complaint at Bhandpura police station.
