The OSD of MP state electronic development corporation Nand Kumar Bhramhe has been suspended following his arrest by the Economic Offences Wing in the e-tendering scam. The chief engineer of MP power generating company issued the suspension orders of the executive engineer Nand Kumar Bhramhe, on Tuesday.
Bhramhe was posted as an Officer on Special Duty in MP state electronic development corporation on deputation. He is alleged to have been involved in the tampering of the online tendering process. The MPSEDC had returned the services of the officer to the parent department MPCG on April 15. The department has also asked to take action against the officer.
The EOW had arrested the officer on April 14, the EOW had charged him with the sections 420,468,471 of IPC section 66 of IT Act 2000 and the corruption Act. As the officer was under the police custody for more than 48 hours, he is dealt with under the MP Civil Services Rule 1966.
Consequently he has been suspended from April 14 till further orders. He has been attached to Jabalpur office. Sources informed that the EOW had found that Bhramhe was having the access to the digital signature (key), using which he allegedly tampered the tender documents.
