E-tendering scam: 4 accused sent on 4 days remand

Bhopal: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) raided Antrance Software Company office in Bengaluru on Monday in connection with e-tendering scam. SP, EOW Arun Mishra said an EOW team raided the company that provided software platform for e-tendering process to MP State Electronic Development Corporation (MPSEDC). The company has a server in MP and 12 in Bengaluru.

The EOW team not only took forensic images of servers but also seized data and other documents related to e-tendering. The company was awarded the contract in 2012 and had started working with MPSEDC from 2013. While Antrance was responsible for assistance in software, the TCS was involved in providing hardware for the system. The team is likely to make a few arrests in Bengaluru and in the state too.

The SP added that three directors of Osmo IT Solution– Vinay Coudhary, Varun Chaturvedi and Sumit Bolwalkar– were arrested on Thursday and presented in the Court on Friday. The court sent them on police remand for three days, which was later extended to April 18. Similarly, the court allowed the police remand of the then OSD of MPSEDC Nand Kumar Braho till April 18. He was arrested on Sunday.

The EOW has a long list of companies that got benefitted from e-tendering process. Action is pending against most of them. The MPSEDC officials and the ministers who were part of clearing note-sheet and orders too are likely to face the music.
