BHOPAL: Demand for extension of services of Rajdhani Express to Habibganj was raised at a meeting of Divisional Railway Users’ Consultative Committee ( DRUCC) on Tuesday. Addressing the meeting DRM Rajiv Chaudhary said platform no- 6 would be completed by March 2013 at Bhopal Railway station. He also said as soon as racks would be supplied, double- decker would start.

Travelator will be fitted for the convenience of passengers in the next financial year. Two lifts will also be fitted at each Bhopal and Itarsi Railway stations. Chaudhary said machines were pressed into job for sanitation at Bhopal, Habibganj, Itarsi, Guna, Ashok Nagar, Bina and Vidisha. The unreserved Ticket System ( UTS) at 59 stations and Unreserved Ticket System – cum- Passengers Reservation System ( UTS- cum- PRS) has been launched at 13 stations.

Jan Sadharan Ticket Booking Sewak ( JTBS) has been provided 21 places in the divisions, DRM said, adding, ” The division registered business growth of 45.48% till October 2012 from Rs 465.60 crore to Rs 677.36 crore”. Similarly, Indrajeet Singh Dhakar demanded CCTV at the platform. Pradip Mittal demanded a halt of Sampark Kranti at Vidisha. Ganesh Chaudhary demanded extension of Bhuj- Gwalior to Bhopal.
