BHOPAL : The Mahila Thana police, on Monday, booked a Vidisha-based doctor and other family members on charges of dowry harassment, following the complaint of his 28-year-old wife on Sunday evening. The accused doctor threw out the complainant from the house after she failed to meet his dowry demand.

According to information, Nimisha Malaviya, who resides in Koh-e-Fiza locality, filed a complaint alleging that her husband and in-laws were torturing her and demanding dowry for the last one year.

In her complaint, she stated that she was being tortured from the year 2014 by her husband Hirdaymohan Malaviya who is a doctor by profession and her in-laws. They were demanding Rs 5 lakh for buying a flat.
