BHOPAL: District administration has cracked the whip on Siti cable and Digi cable channel of Bhopal for airing the Peace TV and the QTV of Pakistan and banned their telecast immediately. Siti cable and Digi cable channels were airing the Peace TV and QTV of Pakistan, which telecast religious programmes like recitation of Quran, despite strict instruction from Union government. District administration has banned the telecast of Peace TV and QTV of Pakistan from immediate effect. Union government had imposed a ban on Pakistan Television channels a decade ago. India had even blocked the Internet website of the Karachi- based English newspaper, Dawn, during the Kargil war in order to prevent the dissemination of Pakistani propaganda during the conflict.
