BHOPAL : Home and Jail Minister Babulal Gaur has directed to plant saplings of coconut trees along Boat Club. He also directed that pictures of places of historical and archaeological importance at the Boat Club should be cleaned regularly and the boat club should be given a fresh coat of paint after every 3 months.

Gaur inspected Boat Club here on Monday.

Gaur said that Boat Club had become a tourist centre. Thousands of people of the city and outside visit it daily. Special attention should be paid to its beautification. He expressed displeasure that the model of the naval ship and platform of rail engine were dirty. He said that these are centres of attractions for tourists, especially children. They should be made more beautiful.

Gaur also directed to undertake development works at Lower Lake Water Sports Centre. He said that it should be modernised. Players at the water sports centre informed that this is the first water sports centre of the country where adequate facilities are available. The Indian team poised to take part in water sports competition in Indonesia is practicing at Bhopal. Gaur also met members of the Indian team.
