BHOPAL: After killing his wife for suspected infidelity and his six months old son a youth committed suicide by throwing himself before a moving train in Ghatera village in Damoh on Sunday.
The deceased 35-year-old Nirbhay Singh Lodhi suspected that his wife Mayabai had a relationship with Chaturbhuj Sen alias “Chatu” Sen of Scheduled Cast ward.
On Sunday morning Nirbhay attacked when Maya bai with an axe when she was busy washing clothes. She died on spot.
He then beheaded his six months old son Bharat who was playing in the lawn. Nirbhay rushed to Chatu’s home to kill him. But he was saved as women from his home came forward and snatched axe from Nirbhay.
After his attempt to kill Chatu was foiled Nirbhay went to the railway track and committed suicide.
The incidence occurred when family members of accused were busy in their work. Father was out for agriculture work and sister had gone to fetch water.
Nauhata police station SHO Jitendra Singh Bhadauria said, “Entire incidence occurred when other family members of Nirbhay Singh Lodhi were busy in their work on Sunday. His sister had gone to fetch water and father was out in kitchen garden.”
Police have registered a case of 302 of IPC.
