‘ Crores came to Kumbh but not a single crime was committed’

He said, ” State government has decided to incorporate a lesson about Swami Vivekanand in school syllabus. We tried to contact the masses especially youths through Vivekanand Jyoti programme.

We will organise uva- Samagam in the days to come. There is committee headed by CM to promote work based on ideology of Swami Vivekanand.” Justice DM Dharmadhikari said, ” Government can control the crime only to some extent by enforcing law or making stringent law. But the crime can not be completely wiped out from society by the law alone.” Justice Dharmadhikari said, ” There must be a sense of right and wrong in the public so that people themselves do not commit crime. Except Railway station tragedy which was a mistake of Railway, no crime was committed in Kumbh. It reflects that if we should teach spiritualism in the society, it will control the crime rate in the society. Today, we are missing manner and spiritualism.” ” Religious conflicts have taken the centre stage instead of spiritualism.

Religious as well as spiritual leaders should come out to teach and guide the youths how to live in the civilized society. All the things cannot be left to elected representatives; police and army, there must be public participation to control the crime in the society. Simply making stringent law is not sufficient to control crime against women. There must be public participation to control crime against women”, Justice Dharmadhikari added.

Jitatmananda Maharaj, who is s one of the most renowned monk of the Ramakrishna Mission, said, ” Man is neither a political animal nor a machine but all the wrongs committed by man cannot be controlled or rectified by enforcement of law.” He said, ” There must be development of divinity with development of technologies for balanced development of the society. Even renowned Harvard University has three meditation centres.” L- R- Justice DM Dharmadhikari, Swami Jitatmananda Maharaj, minister for higher education Laxmikant Sharma, Makhanlal Chaturvedi University of Journalism and Communication ( MCU)’ s vice chancellor Prof B K Kuthiala at a function held to mark 150 years of birth anniversary at Samanvay Bhawan on Saturday.
