Umaria : District Cricket Association has organised a talent search on February 8, it was before scheduled on January 3, but could not be conducted because of rains.
According to the newly speaker of the association, Deepak Yadav, President Rakesh Sharma of district cricket association and secretary Kishore Agrawal, the selection of the players will be conducted on Sunday at 9am sharp at Amar Shaheed Stadium of the district.
The sportspersons selected will get a chance to play for the State Level team. This is the first time when Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association has shown the courage to organise a selection process belonging to Umaria.
Players aged from12 year to 17 years, i.e. those born after September 1, 1997, will be eligible for participation in the selection process. The players will have to bring their own cricket kit. No registration fee will be taken from the players participating in the camp .
Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association has appointed Shailesh Sahni and Jabalpur’s Vikram Jansari as the chief selectors for the camp. The district cricket association has invited cricket talents not only from the city, but also from the villages neighbouring Umaria.
