Coronavirus in Bhopal: Three GMC doctors among 150 test positive

Food and civil supplies corporation AGM, Ashok Rai lost battle to Covid-19 on Thursday night.

Rai, a resident of Ayodhya By-pass, was diagnosed with coronavirus on July 26 and admitted to AIIMS. After his condition worsened he was put on a ventilator. The officer succumbed to the virus late Thursday night. The death toll in the state capital from coronavirus reached 215 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, BJP state president V D Sharma was discharged from hospital on Friday after recovering from coronavirus infection.

Three doctors of Gandhi Medical College (GMC) were among the 150 persons tested positive for the infection on Friday. Fresh cases have pushed the corona tally to 7708 on the day. State Bank of India (SBI), Bhopal, J K Hospital campus each reported one positive case.

Five members of a family in Vrindawan Nagar (Ayodhya by pass) were diagnosed with the virus. Two positive cases surfaced in a family residing at E-3 Arera Colony. Four members of a family residing in Gali No-1, Jahangirabad, four of a family Abra Enclave, Sharvadharma (Kolar), Gali no-13, Navjeevan Colony (Chhola) have been infected. Ghoda Nakkas reported two positive cases.

Three members of the same Singh family have been detected positive in Saumya Vihar (Awadpuri). Same number of members came positive in Yashoda Nagar (Anand Nagar). Three positives have been detected from Tallaya and two of them are from the same family. Three members of the same Singh family have been tested in Laharpur (Bagmughalia).

Three people including two of a family in Berasia have been tested positive. Ishwar Nagar reported three positives and two of them are from the same family. Two from a family in Nehru Nagar and same number of family members in Vivid Kunj (Kolar), two others in Private Bijli Colony have tested positive. Professor Colony reported two positives, while one positive case has been detected Near Bombay Children Hospital and another in-front of Ravindra Bhavan.

One positive case has been detected from various colonies including Jharnershwar Complex, Jumerati, SBI Colony (Idgah Hills), Apex Bank colony (E-5, Arera Colony), RAF (Hinotiya), CRPF (Bangrasia), Chhitraghit Society (E-7, Arera Colony), Silver Estate (Katara Hills), Kakdra Abhinav Homes, Bhavani Dham, Danish Nagar, Sector-C (Saket Nagar), Shakti Nagar, Sector-A (Sonagiri), Pragati Nagar, Sindhi Colony, Singarcholi(Airport Road), Gandhi Nagar, Neelam Colony(D-mart), Aishbag Stadium, police station (Excise), Rajharsh Colony (Kolar) and Bright Colony (Idgah Hills), Shivaji Nagar, Luv-Kush Nagar, 23rd Battalion (Badhbadha), Dr Kuren Road (Bairagarh), SSB Academy, Danishkunj (Semaria), Ratanpur (Misrod), Garden Valley(DPS School), New Subhash Nagar(Capital Petrol pump), Amaltas (Kolar), Ananiya Homes (Bhanpur), Koh-e-Fiza,.
