Cops unravel double murder mystery, accused sent to jail

BHOPAL : The accused of double murder at Arvind Vihar Colony has been sent to jail on Friday after the cops arrested him from his home district Narsinghpur.

Ganesh Kaurav who worked as a watchman in residence of Ashok Shah, IAS, in Arvind Vihar Colony live in a servant quarter there with wife and three daughters. On March 19, Kaurav’s friend Raju Rajak came to his place and slept on Verandah where other family members of Kaurav were also sleeping. Meanwhile, when Kaurav got up in the mid night, he saw Raju and his wife in a compromising condition. In a fit of rage, he thrashed his wife and her paramour with a cane resulting in their deaths. Since then, Kaurav was absconding. Police arrested Ganesh from Narsinghpur and produced him in the district and sessions court. He has been sent to judicial remand.
