BHOPAL : Dissatisfied with the reply of the Legislative Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra on the issue of the controversial question regarding caste-based reservations in the question paper of the twelfth class examination conducted by the MPBSE, the main opposition Congress staged a walk-out from the House on Thursday. After the Minister’s statement, Congress MLA Ramnivas Rawat demanded action against ‘Vidhyochit Adhikari’ of MP Board of Secondary Education. He also said all students should be given full marks for the question. Forest Minister Gaurishankar Shejwar intervened to say that rules do not permit members to ask questions on a Minister’s statement. This sparked a verbal duel between the opposition and the treasury benches, culminating in the walkout of the Congress contingent.
Mishra in his statement said the weightage of the said question has been made zero and the assessment would be done out of 90. He said paper setter has been blacklisted while moderator has been suspended. Additional Chief Secretary Deepak Khandekar has been given the task of inquiry in the matter.
