Sendhwa : Municipal Commissioner Arun Chaudhary along with the Chief Municipal Officer inspected the Nivali road, which is in front Sethiya Medical Store so that the construction of Mukherjee Square can be done by broadening the road. The Commissioner also took Sub-engineer Verma of Power Department along with him and requested him to remove the three DP which are situated on the road to some other place.
Commissioner said that due to the heavy traffic on Nivali road a proposal had came to broaden the road beside the Mukherjee Garden near Mausam Square and construct Mukherjee Square on that place.
A letter regarding this proposal was also sent to Urban Road Transport Department but no consideration was taken by the department on this matter. Hence Municipality keeping in mind the problems of the public has decided to construct the Square by broadening of this road.
Due to the broadening of this road the three DP of the Power Department which is situated on this road have to get removed and be constructed at some other place. Commissioner also said that a Cement-Concrete road will be made and the square will be lightened up by the highmast which will be fitted at the centre of the square.
This square will be constructed on the junction of the roads coming from Nivali, Old Bus Stand, Sant Vinobha road and Shastri Colony road.
Sub-engineer Verma after inspecting the venue of three DP said that these DP will be removed after the survey will be completed about the load of the power each DP is having on it.
During the inspection of the square some people complained about the problems they face due to no urinal complex near Motibagh Square and Mausam Square. Hence they demanded the construction of urinal complex near the sewer. To which Commissioner said that they also want to construct urinal complexes in the city but whenever Municipality tries to construct the complexes, the near-by residents start objecting the construction of the complexes. He also said that they placed readymade urinal complexes at some places in the city but the people removed them and threw them away.
