BHOPAL : Under vision-2025 programme, to be launched soon across MP, the state government has asked college principals to explore possibilities of development and need of expansion, along with proposing new courses and infrastructure to cope with the rise in the number of students in the next ten years.
Each government college principals will submit report to higher education department. While, other departments have planned for vision-2018, DHE has is planning for the next ten years.
“Senior officials discussed vision 2025 in recent interaction with lead college principals and decided to upload a standard draft of vision document. Colleges will submit information in draft according to their need with proposing requirement of staff, teaching rooms, new courses and laboratory, expansion of research activities. The draft will become base for forming plan for higher education,” said official sources.
DHE officials discuss National Education Policy
DHE officers and additional directors on Thursday had a meeting to prepare for draft for national education policy as sought by the Centre government. Officers of department of higher education and school education had already held consultation at block and district level for getting suggestions of stakeholders on the prospective policy. Colleges will now gather suggestion of ex-students, students, industry bodies and others on the policy.
