BHOPAL: Three bike-borne youths sustained grievous injuries after their bike was hit by a speeding college bus at Bharat Talkies square under Mangalwara police station on Thursday afternoon. In the aftermath of the accident, police reached the spot and all the injured were rushed to Hamidia Hospital while the errant bus driver managed to escape from the spot leaving behind the vehicle.
In-Charge, Mangalwara police station, ML Uike while talking to Free Press said that all the injured have been identified as Sachin Soni (19), Mukesh (18), both residents at Kotra in Nehru Nagar and Akash Verma (20), who basically hails from Rewa and currently resides at Station Bazaria area. Sub-Inspector Uike further said that Sachin and Akash are students of Patel Engineering College while Mukesh works as security guard at an ATM machine. The incident took place at around 3:30pm near Bharat Talkies square when the trio was coming from Ashoka Garden bearing registration number MP 04 MV 5626 which was hit by a speeding bus.
The mishap was so intense that femur bone of two youths came out from knee. Apart from it they also sustained multiple injuries in their head. Later all the injured were admitted to Hamidia Hospital where their condition was reported to be very critical.
