Dewas : District Collector Ashutosh Awasthi and SP Abhay Singh on Monday inspected the Maa Chamunda Tekri. They reviewed the arrangements and ordered officers to do excellent arrangements for the Navratri Festival at the Tekri.
Collector and SP along with the other officers inspected Maa Chamunda Tekri for three hours. During which they inspected, observed and instructed officers for the arrangements that are to be done at culvert, Community Hall constructed near Jain Temple, Badi Mata Temple, Parikrama route, Chhoti Mata Temple, Committee Office and other places.
Collector Awasthi gave instructions to repair the damaged spots on the culvert. He also instructed officers to remove broken chairs from the culvert and replace them with the new chairs.
During inspection Collector found that the encroachments that were done by breaking up the boundary around the Tekri were not removed by the officers even after his orders. On which Collector showed his discontent and instructed SDM to remove encroachments and to construct boundary again.
During the inspection at the Badi Mata Temple Collector instructed officers that the prasad will be offered at the temple but the distribution of the Prasad must be done outside the temple so that the devotees don’t have any sort of problems at the temple.
He also instructed officers that “This Temple is managed by the Government” should be written on the donation boxes at the temple. And the devotees should donate their offerings in the boxes only.
Collector also instructed officers that they should make sure that the offered coconuts should not be offered again at the temple. He instructed that the offered coconuts must be distributed among the devotees as Prasad. SP Singh instructed officers that tight security arrangements should be done at the Tekri. He was told that out of eight CCTV cameras at the Tekri only five cameras are functional. On which Collector gave instructions that all the cameras should be made functional and web casting should be done through the cameras. Collector informed that on this Navratri there is the plan of Shania playing at the Tekri hence he instructed officers to place high quality public address system at the Tekri. Collector also gave instructions to improve high mast fitted at the Tekri. He also instructed officers to take strict actions against the shopkeepers who steal the electricity from the electric poles located on the stairs of the Tekri. Municipal Commissioner Himanshu Singh, ASP Prakash Parihar, SDM Dheeraj Shrivastav and other concerned officers were also present during this inspection.
