NARSINGHPUR: Collector Naresh Pal during the public hearing organised at the district headquarters on Tuesday ordered the Gadarvara sub-divisional officer, revenue, to take action against Sarpanch and secretary of Gram Panchyat Kajrauta on the basis of the report of investigation into the charges of irregularities. The charges agains the Panchayat officials were levelled by a village resident Preetam Parashar. The probe against the accused duo was carried out by chief executive officer of Gadarwara Janpad Panchayat.
According to the probe report the monthly meetings and Gram Sabhas were not organised regularly by the officials. The construction works carried out in the village also reeked of irregularities. The CEO had recommended action against highhanded Sarpanch and the secretary. The collector ordered Gadarwara SDO to initiate action against the tainted Panchayat officials.
In the public hearing the collector received more than 30 applications about the problems related to different departments. In today’s public hearing Pal redressed the grievances of seven applicants which were received in the public hearing last week.
A resident of Kandeli village requested the collector to clear payment of bills due on the health department. Roshan Singh from Mehgaun asked Pal for removal of encroachments in the village. Viveke Faujar from Narsighpur bypass road requested the collector to get his unpaid salary. Gaya Prasad, resident of Mavai village, complained against a revenue inspection of not marking the boundaries of his field despite it was measured long time before.
Chief executive officer of Zila Panchayat Kaushalendra Vikram Singh, additional collector Rani Vatad, deputy collector Arvind Jha, KN Garg, Ranjana Patane and other officials were present during the public hearing.
