ALIRAJPUR : District collector Shekhar Verma issued an order to deduct one-day salary of secretaries and assistant employment officers who failed to attend a crucial meeting chaired by the collector.
Verma had called a crucial meeting to review the progress of various schemes such as Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee (MANREGA), Panch Parmeshwar, BRGF, Kapildhara and others on Wednesday.
But, panchayat secretaries and assistant employment officers of some villages failed to attend the meeting. And because of their absence, the review of complete or currently undergoing works in their regions could not be carried out.
Annoyed over the incident, Verma issued an order to deduct one-day salary of the absentees. They were also issued showcause notices and if the replies are found not satisfactory then strict action would be taken against them.
CEO of the district panchayat Shailendra Singh, janpad president Kamal Parad, assistant engineer, sub engineer, secretaries and assistant employment officers were asked to attend the meeting.
Employment officers of village Unhala, Katwad, Dhirat, Bhordia, Chanota, Chapatia, Badi Utawali and Badri Bankhad, secretaries of village Kakrana, Chhto Genda, Chhto Hathvi, Dhorat, Bakhatgarh, Bodgaon and Bordia were absent from the meeting.
