KATNI: Collector Ashok Kumar Singh along with the municipal corporation commissioner HK Singh and other officials inspected the ongoing construction work of the road from Bilhari turn to Sagar culvert being constructed under Mukhyamantri Adhosanrachna Yojna (MMAY) on Sunday morning. He found disparity in the width of a lane of the road measured near Katae Ghat turn which was found to be ten metres. He told the officials to take action against the contractor for faulty work.

He instructed the officials to arrange for and manage the clearance of the water coming from the nullah near the colonies besides the BSNL office. He ordered the repair of the nullahs near Hanuman Temple, near the Kataye Ghat turn near the temple and near the Bhumi Prakat temple by making cross bends and instructed to take help of an architect to arrange for the water management.

He said if the already constructed dividers of the road could be repaired for the safety of the plants they should be repaired otherwise new dividers should be constructed in their place. The buildings and encroachments lying in the construction layout must be marked and the process to demolish them should begin according to the rules. Duct should be made for the cable lines.

The electricity service lines should not be crossed through roads so that the large vehicles may not face difficulty in passing. All the work should be done in consideration with the engineers and architects so that no problems arise during construction and in future. He instructed the owner of the construction agency P S Construction Paramjeet Singh to complete the construction work of the road before the rainy season. He was satisfied with the ongoing construction work.
