Umaria : The management officials of South Eastern Coalfields are trying to snatch the residential quarters of the teachers, who are working in the coalfield areas. It is to be noted that five teachers, who are posted in the coalmine schools have not been paid regularly since the year 2006. The teachers have also filed a writ petition in MP High Court in regard this.

According to sources, the South Eastern Coalfield Management has started to run a Pre-Primary school in Naurojabad village of the coal mine area in the year 1994. The teachers of this schools have been getting regular salaries and allowances since the year 1997. The Coalfield management had allotted residential quarters to these teachers. Once, this school was considered as the best school of the area. When the management authorities stopped to provide basic facilities to the school, the education standard of the school affected badly. The sources said that five teachers of the school Umesh Singh, Mehmood Hassan, JP Pandey, Akhtar Khan and Ramkumar Sharma have not been getting their salaries and perks since long. The coalfield management neither removed these teachers from their services nor suspended them. Even their salaries have been stopped by the coalfield management authorities. The affected teachers had made so many requests to the coalfield management, but they did not ready hear their grievances. After that the harassed teachers reached to the court and filed a writ petition.
