CM’s cavalcade forced to turn back at police barricade

CM’s cavalcade forced to turn back at police barricade

The pilot vehicle of Chauhan’s cavalcade reached near the agitation venue and had to take turn back from Pradhan Trisection near Professor’s Colony as police had barricaded the road leading to Raj Bhavan. The incident exposed a major security lapse, born out of communication gap.

Realising the problem, Chauhan immediately asked his driver to turn his vehicle into Professor’s Colony and reached the home of BJP national general secretary Narendra Singh Tomar. Sources said, Chauhan’s visit to Tomar was in chief minister’s programme but the security personnel were not aware of it. It is also clear that the CM’s security personnel did not know that the road leading to Raj Bhawan was barricaded. Later, the cavalcade went to Mantralaya via Roshanpura Square.
