CM announces Rs 25L for Rio Bronze winner

BHOPAL : Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Madhya Pradesh is ready to make arrangements for imparting of training for next Olympics game to Deepa Karmakar, if she wishes so.

Chouhan also announced to give Rs 25 lakh to Sakshi Malik as prize. Chouhan, interacting with media at CM House here on Thursday, said Deepa Karmakar is a wonderful player and it was for first time that a girl has reached to such a level in Athletics. Chouhan said Sakshi Malik, who won bronze medal in women’s wrestling for India at Rio Olympics, will be given Rs 25 lakh as prize. He said Sakshi has made Indians feel proud by winning medal and has also raised the image of the country.
