BHOPAL : The daytime temperature reduced drastically all over the state on Saturday. In Bhopal, over 4° Celsius drop in the temperature was registered. The atmosphere was quite chilly even during the daytime. However, no further reduction is likely for the next couple of days as clouds have again started hovering over the state.

Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 25.7° Celsius which was 1° Celsius below normal while it recorded the minimum temperature of 14.5° Celsius which was 2° Celsius above normal. On Friday, day temperature was 29.3 ° Celsius.

Indore recorded a maximum temperature of 23.5° Celsius which was 5° Celsius below normal while it recorded 16.0° Celsius of minimum temperature which was 4° Celsius above normal.

Attributing the sharp drop in day temperature to inclement weather and northern wind pattern, the meteorological department said that temperature decreases with disappearance of clouds. But there will no drop in temperature as clouds have started hovering. The temperature will remain the same for next couple of days.

Temperatures happen to fall quite rapidly during the course of November. Moist monsoon air is completely replaced by the dry northerly winds. Mornings are generally pleasant and comfortable. Surface winds are generally light and usually from northerly or north-easterly direction, Met office added.
