BHOPAL : A newly-wed couple had to face major embarrassment when a former batch mate of the wife posted her morphed photographs on the Facebook. Not only this, he also made more than 25 calls on the woman’s mobile on her first night after marriage and when she did not take the calls, he texted her more than 200 times. The victim registered a complaint in this regards at the Ayodhya Nagar police station, following which the police registered a case against the accused under section 292 of the IPC and various sections of the IT Act.
CSP Dr Shiv Dayal Singh while talking to Free Press said that a 26-year-old girl, resident of Jabalpur was married to Amit Sharma, resident of Old Minal Residency, on June 3. The couple came to Bhopal the next day. In the night, the accused Rishabh Namdev, who was the batch mate of the victim, started calling her. When she did not receive the calls, he texted more than 200 times to her. The man had studied with the woman when she was pursuing M.Com and MBA courses. Later, he called on her husband’s number and threatened that if he does not make the victim to talk to her he would commit suicide. The frightened girl phoned her parents in Jabalpur who went to Namdev’s house, talked to his parents and reprimanded him. A furious Namdev subsequently posted morphed photographs of the girl on FB and even mailed her the pictures. The woman stated that Namdev had a one-sided affair with her. CSP Dayal said a team has been sent to Jabalpur to arrest the accused.
