BHOPAL: Chilly weather continued to prevail in Madhya Pradesh on Friday. Northerly cold and dry winds continued to lash the most parts of Central India. Temperature in Pachmarhi went up by a few notches, however, it continued to be among the coldest places in the state. Mandla, Khajuraho also recorded minimum temperature of 7 degree Celsius.
Met department expects weather to remain dry and also fall in day and night temperature specially in western parts of the state. Marginal fall in both day and night temperature is also likely in Eastern Madhya Pradesh and other regions. Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 22.4 degree Celsius while it recorded a minimum temperature of 10 degree Celsius. Besides, fog like condition also prevailed in outskirt of the cities.
Dry weather has enhanced the frostiness. The condition is likely to prevail and even temperature may also reduce further. According to Meteorological department, chilly weather continued to prevail in the state specially in western regions. By the evening, chilly wind adds frostiness in atmosphere. The Western Disturbance which was generated in Western Himalayas, has infused the icy cold winds which blows from Western Himalayas and drop both day and night temperatures over the plains of Northwest and central region in the country. A cyclonic circulation is seen But weathermen do not expect any significant weather activities over the region in state. Minimums of most places in East region may drop marginally and due to prevalent dry winds from northwest, weather will also remain dry.
