Chhatarpur: Minor girl found dead mysteriously at home

According to the information, Prem alias Monica's father Bhagwandas Raikwar was alone at home and the door was locked from inside.

Bamitha/Chhatarpur(Madhya Pradesh): Mystery shrouded the death of a minor girl whose body was found inside her house in village Imliya under Bamitha police station on Saturday. Police have started investigation.

According to the information, Prem alias Monica's father Bhagwandas Raikwar was alone at home and the door was locked from inside. When his younger brother Anshu came home at 5.30 pm and knocked the door, there was no response from other side.

When her father came home and saw that the girl lying unconscious, he immediately informed the Bamitha police.

Since Monika was 17 years old and the incident took place under suspicious circumstances, the FSL team was called from Chhatarpur on Sunday morning to get the body and examine crime scene. After panchnama, the body was sent to Rajnagar hospital for post-mortem.

Pankaj Sharma, SHO, Bamitha, said, “During preliminary investigation, it is suspected that the girl consumed poisonous substance. The situation will be clear after the post-mortem report comes. Investigation is underway.”
