Chauhan urges partymen to steer clear of over- confidence

BHOPAL: Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, addressing a joint meeting of BJP state- level office- bearers and election campaign committee here on Monday, urged them to steer clear of over- confidence and be humble. He said that though the party had won Vidhan Sabha elections but that should not make the party workers complacent.

He said that we need to fulfill the expectations and the duties given to us by the public. He said despite step motherly treatment of the Centre, the state has set records in the fields of development and agriculture production. Chauhan said that the strategy for Lok Sabha election campaign will be made keeping every aspect in mind. He said Lok Sabha constituency incharges would be appointed soon.

Chauhan alleged that the Centre has done step motherly treatment with Madhya Pradesh and people had suffered injustice. He said we have to expose the discriminatory behaviour of the Centre before the public. He said it was essential to change political leadership at the Centre for the adequate development of Madhya Pradesh.

The party workers and office- bearers must take Lok Sabha elections as a movement and work for the formation of BJP government at the Centre, led by Narendra Modi. He also urged the party organisational leaders to launch agitation in districts against the discriminatory policy of the Centre, inflation and corruption.

State president Narendra Singh Tomar in his address said that we need to take the challenge of Lok Sabha elections as challenge and face it boldly. He also cautioned the party workers to stay away from overconfidence.Tomar also congratulated Rajasthan organisational in- charge Kaptan Singh Solanki on the victory of the party in Rajasthan assembly elections.

Tomar said the party organisation has more work and less time and we need to execute the plan received from the party leadership.He urged the party workers to practice ‘ One Vote One Note’ and contact people.BJP state chief Narendra Singh Tomar addresses a meeting of party election campaign committee at BJP office in the city on Monday.

State executive meeting today

BJP state president Tomar said that a two- day state executive body meeting would start on Tuesday at 11am. State in- charge Anantha Kumar will take part in the inaugural session. Political resolution would be presented. A discussion on upcoming programmes and Lok Sabha election management will take place.

Leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj will address in the second session. In the third session, a presentation on ‘ Statue of Unity’ will be given. The meeting would conclude on January 8. Anil Madhav Dave, Arvind Menon and Vijendra Singh Sisodia have been assigned the responsibility to collect information on election campaign management and give creative suggestions. These leaders will also give details about their assigned responsibility in the meeting.
