Indore : A chaos like situation prevailed at Geeta Bhawan temple on Sunday, when some saffron activists started protesting against Christmas celebrations, organised by Sarv Dharm Samiti.
The matter was defused following intervention of police, who brought the agitators to the police station.
According to Superintendent of Police OP Tripathi, a police force reached the temple after getting information about the dispute.
As per information, some social activists and missionaries were celebrating Christmas at the temple under the banner of Sarv Dharm Sabha. After getting the information, Bajrang Dal’s Shyam Sahu reached the spot with some activists and started protesting against the programme. The programme was organised with the permission of Geeta Bhawan trustee, sources said. The activists also staged a demonstration at Palasia police station later.
