BHOPAL: Two prisoners of Central Jail located at Gandhi Nagar managed to escape after dodging two police personnel from Lalghati.

They were taken to Kalapipal by Shajapur police on production warrant and were being brought back to the central jail on Wednesday.

However, the cops later caught one of the prisoners with the help of public while another prisoner managed to flee from the police custody.

Later the arrested accused was sent to central jail at Gandhi Nagar and a case was registered by the Koh- e- Fiza police under section 224 of the IPC while search was on to nab the other absconding prisoner. Police said two prisoners Salman, 25, son of Babu Khan and Afsar, 27, son of Bana Mohammad, both residents of Sahukhedi village in Kurawar, were sent to Central Jain in connection with a burglary they committed at Kalapipal. Both the central jail inmates were taken to Kalapipal by Shajapur police on production warrant and on Wednesday constable Rajendra adav and home guard personnel Babulal were taking them back to Bairagarh in a train. After reaching Bairagarh, Rajendra and Babulal boarded a low- floor bus with both the prisoners to bring them back to central jail.
