BHOPAL : The Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI), probing the Vyapam scam, is gearing up to quiz STF officials. The quizzing would be centered on the computer hard disk seized from the office of former system analyst Nitin Mahindra. Indore crime branch had seized the hard-disc from Vyapam. The hard disc was handed over to STF and the probe is proceeding on the basis of it.
The STF, during its investigations, had also seized other computer systems from Vyapam office. CBI would quiz STF officials over tampering with the hard disk.
Cyber expert Prashant Pandey in his statement given to the CBI has claimed that the STF took his help in recovering data of documents from the hard disk.
Pandey also claimed that Indore crime branch had also taken his help in extracting data from the hard disk.
On the basis of Pandey’s statements, CBI would quiz STF officials regarding tampering with the date storage device. CBI is waiting for the reply of some further queries it has made to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), Hyderabad. CBI would put the details in the status report to be submitted in the Supreme Court on June 30.
Pandey to submit 8 Excel sheets to SC
Prashant Pandey, whistleblower in Vyapam scam, is now going to submit some more Excel sheets before the Supreme Court. According to Pandey, he is going to submit as many as eight Excel sheets before the SC for examination.
Pandey has handed over these sheets to the CBI. These Excel sheets are related to PMT examination, recruitment of constables and other examinations, which also carry names of some influential persons.
According to Pandey, these Excel sheets were found by Indore crime branch from the computer system of accused Nitin Mahindra. The CBI has to submit status report in the SC on June 30. Pandey would submit these Excel sheets prior to the CBI.
