BHOPAL : The Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI), probing the Vyapam scam, filed first information report (FIR) on Thursday in connection with irregularities in examination held for recruitment of Junior Food Supply Officer and Weights and Measures Inspector Recruitment, 2012.
The CBI has filed cases against 38 persons including former Minister Laxmikant Sharma, Vyapam’s former Controller Pankaj Trivedi and former System Analyst Nitin Mahindra. CBI has also filed PI in two death cases. Ramendra Singh Bhadoria, resident of Gwalior, was found hanging on January 8, 2015 and Police had registered suicide case. Deepak Jain, a resident of Shivpuri, died in an accident on February 1, 2014. STF has filed a case against Jain as a racketeer in Vyapam scam. CBI in its PI, intends to find out whether these deaths had any connection with Vyapam scam or not. So far, CBI has filed 14 FIRs and 7 PIs.
