Case registered against TI on wife’s complaint

BHOPAL: After carrying out months-long investigation, Kolar police have registered an FIR against earlier in-charge of the same police station following the complaint of suspended TI’s wife on Saturday; details of the complaint against cop surfaced into light two days later on Monday.

According to information, few months ago complainant Rashmi Mishra made a complaint against her husband inspector Akhilesh Mishra with the senior police officials. At the time of complaint Mishra was posted as in-charge of Kolar police station.

In her complaint with senior police officials, Rashmi claimed that she was brutally beaten up and threatened of life by her spouse Akhilesh. Looking after the seriousness of matter, Akhilesh Mishra was line attached and then later suspended.

Meanwhile two days ago, Kolar police have registered a case under sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) has been registered against Akhilesh Mishra while no arrest was made till the filing of report.
