Declare real-estate mela as part of PM Housing scheme
BHOPAL : Private builders misused the name of Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana to publicise two-day real estate melas at three places—Kolar, Katara Hills and BHEL. The builders want to sell EWS and LIG houses.
However, builders denied it stating that it was originally PM Housing Scheme and we are working for it. An advertisement has been published in a Hindi daily using photographs of PM Narendra Modi, CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan, UAD Minister Maya Singh, Mayor Alok Sharma.
Builders plan has raised the eyebrows of government and even UAD Minister Maya Singh has instructed BMC commissioner Chhavi Bharadwaj to look into matter.
Bhopal CREDAI general secretary Manoj Singh Meek said, “It is not our programme. In fact, PM Narendra Modi had launched the scheme ‘ Housing for All’ at affordable prices at 6 per cent interest. All the builders are in support of the scheme so we have organised programme at three places.”
RTI activist Ajay Dubey said, “ I have complained it at PMO and CM Office against builders for misusing photographs of PM, CM and UAD minister. Builders tried to make it government sponsored programme while it is totally their own programme. For their own benefit, they used it so it is cheating and fraud. I will file FIR with police station.”
BMC commissioner Chhavi Bhadrawaj said, “ How builders used photographs of PM, CM, minister and mayor, I have no idea. Our role is to cooperate with them in selling EWS and LIG houses and nothing else.”
