BHOPAL : The Sanchi University of Indic and Buddhist Studies has decided to set up a centre of integrated healing – combining Allopathic, Ayurvedic and Tibetian disciplines.

In its academic council meeting, the university got an offer for research in integrated healing from some American scholars. “The proposal was pending for decision but the council decided to take it up immediately as some experts from abroad showed interest in integrated healing and research on it,” said the varsity officials.

The specialised university will develop itself as alternative education centre and in the meeting; the council took decision to start Ph D course from July 2016 and some new online courses.

It will hold a lecture series across major cities on various subjects related with modern lifestyle and spirituality.

In the beginning, the university will start online courses in Sanskrit. The council gave its nod to two new courses on green Vaastu building and Buddhist community radio collective,

The council discussed the proposal of signing a memorandum of understanding with Hindu University of America. Officials said the university will hold workshop on various subjects in coming days.
