BHOPAL: The women’s cell of the Bhopal School of Social Sciences organised a session on the importance of self-defence for girls in collaboration with Helping Hands group, an NGO.

Senior police officer, self defence expert and teacher Breez Tripathi and Anurag Singh Yadav, founder of Helping Hands were the speakers at the session which was initiated to create awareness on how women can save themselves when caught in an untoward situation. The necessity to inform and seek police help in the case of any unexpected incident was shared by the senior police officer.

The importance of self-defence along with various self-defence techniques were discussed and demonstrated by Breez Triparthi, who is also a martial arts practitioner and trainer. Anurag Singh Yadav threw light on the need to be alert and adopt methods and techniques to protect oneself from any kinds of harassment.
